My Experience & Credentials
My Story
Hi there, I am Nicole mum to three and a local to Urmston. I have devoted nearly two decades to working and caring for various animals, beginning my journey shortly after high school. I immersed myself in volunteering on farms, in pet shops, and wildlife rescues, which ignited my desire to learn more about animal care.
I pursued my education straight after high school, earning a Triple Grade BTEC National Diploma in Animal Management and Nutrition level 3, followed by a Degree in Wildlife Conservation and Zoo Biology, whilst volunteering where ever I could including Tatton Park Farm which I absolutely loved. After completing my studies, I was fortunate enough to land my dream job as a Zoo Keeper, where I worked with a diverse range of animals from around the globe. I also completed a 3 year traineeship and completed another Diploma in the Management of Zoos and Aquariums. This experience allowed me to learn a vast amount of skills to give the best animal welfare to every specie I worked with. Over the years my skills were able to grow through workshops attended at other zoological collections, and through my mentors. I was also able to develop a deep appreciation for training animals such as elephants and giraffe, through positive reinforcement training for animals to willingly participate for routine health checks, emergency recall, and footcare.
I then faced the challenge of balancing a busy family life with three children and a long commute, which led me to make the difficult decision to retrain and further my education in animal training with a special interest in canine training. This has allowed me to continue pursuing my passion for animals in a new way, close to my home and family. I am now available to offer my expertise in animal care and training to your loyal companions, I combine my calm handling with animal-first ethics and will treat your animals like my own. Please explore my credentials listed below, and if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out via email. I'm here to help and share my love for animals with you!
